Doors

(Sermon Summary)
Samples of the Savior March 23, 2008
“Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with Me” (Rev. 3:20). Christ invites us to dine with Him, to walk in fellowship and friendship with Him. The question is, are we doing the same with the masses of humanity who are hungry for the Bread of life? Christ was a friend of sinners. Are we? Are we inviting sinners to the table to dine with us? The church is that table and we are the hosts. And week in and week out, hungry hunks of humanity file by the table waiting for a simple invitation. In this message, Pastor Aaron challenges us to get a little uncomfortable, to push back from the table and invite others to the meal—so that they too can eat and never grow hungry, drink and never be thirsty again. Based on “The Table” message series, this is a powerful reminder of the church’s mission and our calling as Christ-followers. Each of us has strategic opportunities to make an eternal impact in the lives of those we rub shoulders with every day, if we will simply step out of our comfort zone and give out samples of the Savior.

All Acess - Sunday March 30, 2008
There’s something about an all access pass that captures our attention and intrigue. We want to know everything that goes on behind the scenes; we want to see what’s behind closed doors. When it comes to God, many people think he’s locked himself behind closed doors, restricting our access to him. So we go door to door, searching desperately for a way in. In this special Easter message, Pastor Aaron shows us that no matter how many doors we knock on and no matter how many thresholds we cross, God has already provided us with an all access pass. And when we discover that pass, we will discover the power and ability to open and close all the right doors in life.
Closing the Door on Debt - April 6, 2008
No matter how much money we make, the door of debt can lead us into serious financial trouble. But in today’s world, we think debt is a way of life. After all, it’s the American way—if you can’t afford it, borrow money so you can; if you can afford it, buy two! But what we fail to realize is that debt is more than just owing money to a few people. Opening the door to debt is a deeper, spiritual issue.
In this message, Pastor Aaron shows us how closing the door on debt is a spiritual issue as well. And as we learn three biblical principles of money management, we see that debt comes down to the question, “Do I trust God with my money?” And when we can answer yes to that question and follow His plan for our lives, we will discover just what it takes to close the door on debt.
